Obituary of Francis J. Casey
Francis J. Casey, 60, of Peabody died Sunday at the Addison
Gilbert Hospital in Gloucester after a long illness. He was the husband of Susan (Dubrofsky) Kurman Casey.
Born and raised in Salem, he was the son of the late
Edward F. And Julia May (Quimby) Casey and had resided in Maine before moving back to Peabody 25 years ago.
He had been the facility manager of the North Shore
Community College campuses for the past 20 years.
He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and collecting all kinds of hats and loved the ocean and beaches and travelled to many islands.
Surviving him besides his wife are 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, Robert Casey of
Florida and Michael and Maureen Casey of Maine, 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Cathy
Close of Massachusetts and Patricia and Patrick Converse of Florida, a step-son, David
Kurman of Manhattan, N.Y., his Godchild, Julia Zammitti of Wakefield and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Conway, Cahill- Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility. Relatives and friends
Are kindly invited. Burial will be in Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon. Expressions of
Sympathy may be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Research, 44 Binney St., Boston
Ma. 02115 in his memory.
