Obituary of Charles Howard "Chuck" Cove

Charles Howard “Chuck” Cove, age 69, of Billerica, MA, died unexpectedly, Monday, November 19, 2013, at his home in Billerica. Born Tuesday, March 7, 1944, in New Haven, CT, he was the son of the late Charles H. and Mary (Smith) Cove. Chuck was a graduate of Lawrence High School and attended Eastern Nazarene College and Northeastern University. He worked until his retirement in 1999 for General Electric in Lynn as a Technical Writer and was affiliated with the General Electric Retirement Association. He enjoyed reading, attending sporting events especially basketball, soccer and auto racing but most of all he enjoyed beating his family at various card games and spending time with his grandchildren, with whom he was very close to. He is survived by two daughters, Sherri (Cove) Zerfoss and her husband, Karl, of Peabody and Bethany J. Cove of Billerica; a grandson, PV2 Karl Zerfoss; two granddaughters, Kayla Zerfoss and Kerri Zerfoss; four sisters, Janet E. Cheney and her husband, Dana, of East Bridgewater, Carole Mackay and her husband, Don, of Virginia Beach, VA, Mary Lou Babin and her husband, Wayne, of Little River, SC and Terry Humphrey and her husband, David, of Weare, NH, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Frannye Crocker and Charlene K. Russell. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at 11 a.m. in Edson Cemetery in Lowell. Visitation will take place on Friday, November 22, 2013, from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to FORCE (Facing Our Risk of Cancer) www.facingourrisk.org or to the Susan G.
