Obituary of Ann K. (Zilinsky) Mullarkey

Ann K. (Zilinsky) Mullarkey, 90, of Peabody, died early Sunday morning at the Haven Health Care Center in Hampton, NH following a brief illness. She was the loving wife of Edward Mullarkey with whom she shared over 65 years of marriage. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Alek and Louise (Balkus) Zilinsky. She was a lifelong resident of Peabody and attended Peabody Public Schools. She was an electronics technician for GTE Sylvania for over 40 years serving in the Salem, Waltham, and Woburn plants. She also was a member of the Quarter Century Club. After her retirement, she enjoyed wintering in Lake Worth, Florida. Mrs. Mullarkey enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, gardening, as well as doing arts and crafts. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Louise and Robert Brown of Hampton, NH, and a brother, Edward Zilinsky of Middleboro. She also is survived by three grandchildren, Sean and his wife Debra Ouellette, Jennifer Ouellette and Michael Ouellette, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Alphonse Zilinsky, and Julia Hammett. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Ann’ s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Peter A. Torigian Community Life Center, 79 Central St., Peabody, MA 01960.
