Obituary of Anne L. (Felton) Starke

Anne L. (Felton) Starke, 84, of West Peabody, died Friday morning at the NSMC – SalemHospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Ralph Allen Starke. She was born in Salem, MA on November 11, 1929, the daughter of the late Charles and Leona (Kiley) Felton and was raised there. She had attended and was a graduate of St. James Grammar and High School. Anne had been employed as a clerk at the former United Shore Machine Corp. in Beverly for 32 years prior to her retirement. While at SalemHospital, she received exceptional care from the staff and doctors at the I.C.U. unit on the 6th floor which the family wuld like to recognize for their kindness and compassion. She is survived by her three sisters, Barbara Harlow of Kingston, NH, Patricia LeClerc of Salem, MA and Karen Bettencourt of ZephyrHills, FL, her sisters-in-law, Helena Starke of Malden and Joanne Felton of Salem MA, and two special boys that she shared and help raise, Michael and Kevin Travaline both of Winchester as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Irving Felton and Shirley Vassy. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013 from 3:00 until 5:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Facility followed by a Service there at 5:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. The family will gather at the funeral home of Monday at 10:00 AM followed by a Graveside Committal Service in Puritan Lawn Mem.
