Obituary of Teresa A Corrigan

Teresa A Corrigan, 49, of Peabody, died early Saturday morning at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a brief illness. Born in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of Alice (Stahowski) Corrigan of Peabody and the late Alfred E Corrigan. She was raised and educated in Peabody and was a graduate of Peabody Veterans Memoria lHigh School, class of 1985. Teresa was employed with a special needs program doing various tasks at the Project Triangle in Malden for over 33 years. She was a long time participant of the Special Olympics in Boston for many years and her favorite venue was track and field. She was also an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching all of Boston’s professional sports teams and was a member of Club Penguin, a Disney interactive internet computer game. Besides her mother Alice, Teresa is survived by her two devoted sisters, Doreen Corrigan of Alabama and Stephanie and her husband Vincent Saraceni of Peabody, her niece and nephew, Alyssa and Michael Saraceni and by her beloved dog of 17 years, Benjie. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Adelaide’s Church, Lowell St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy can be made in her name to the Revere League of Special Needs, 200 Winthrop Ave, Revere, MA 02151.
