Obituary of Joan M. (Hutchins) DeLeo

Joan M. (Hutchins)(LeShana) DeLeo, 65, of Peabody, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon at Union Hospital in Lynn. She was the wife of the late Frank DeLeo, former wife of Howard LeShana of Peabody and a 12-year companion of Edward Casey. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late George and Nellie (Nickola) Hutchins. She was raised and educated in Peabody, lived in Lynn for a few years before moving back to Peabody several years ago. She worked as an administrator for the Greater Lynn Senior Services (GLSS) for over 12 years where she was well liked and dedicated to her job and coworkers. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jody and Kevin Sharkey of Peabody; 4 brothers, George Hutchins of Peabody, Gerald Hutchins of Danvers, James Nickola, and Roger Nickola of Lynn; 2 sisters, Beverly Ouellette of Peabody and Diane Selecky of Middleton; she also was the devoted grandmother of Alexandria Joan Sharkey of Peabody, and is survived by several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility to which relatives and friend are kindly invited to attend.
