Obituary of Scott R. Wilson

Scott R. Wilson PEABODY—Scott R. Wilson, 43, beloved husband of Miranda (Hufe) Wilson of Peabody, died peacefully in his home on Friday December 6, 2013, while in the comforting presence of his family. Born in Media, PA, he was the son of Robert and Eileen (Hulton) Wilson of Pennsylvania. He grew up in Downingtown, PA, where he graduated from Downingtown High School, and then earned a BS from Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, PA. Scott and his family have lived in Peabody for the last two years. Mr. Wilson worked with Northeast Nursery in Peabody where he was responsible for business development. His other career contributions include work as a micro-technician, and taught agricultural science in middle school in Durham, NC. Scott had a spirit that was full of life and expressed that with his wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed an active lifestyle, and was very athletic, running cross-country as a student, and finished several marathons. He played soccer, and because of his love of nature as an outdoorsman he enjoyed fishing, biking, and hiking. Scott also had a creative side that rounded his personality and career, as he was an accomplished artist. He touched many people in his short life, and will be dearly missed by those he met. He is survived by his wife Miranda (Hufe) Wilson of Peabody, with whom he shared 14 years of marriage and two sons, Oliver and Kai, his parents, Bob & Eileen (Hulton) Wilson of Exton,PA; two brothers, Greg and his wife Andra Wilson of Santa Barbara, CA and Steve and his wife Stefanie Wilson of Coatesville, PA, and a sister Julianne and her husband Don Mills of Marlboro, VT; as well as 3 nephews and 2 nieces. Relatives and friends are invited to gather for a Life Celebration Service on Saturday December 21, 2013 from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. at Calvary Fellowship, 95 West Devon Drive & Rte. 113 in Downingtown, PA 19335, with refreshments and gathering immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Oliver and Kai at a MA TD Bank.
