Obituary of Mary A. (Paciulan) Hallinan

Mary A. (Paciulan) Hallinan, 52, wife of William M. Hallinan, Jr. of Peabody, died on Friday, December 6, 2013 surrounded by her loving family at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. Mary was born in Salem, on January 1, 1961, daughter of Margaret (Pelletier) Paciulan and the late Vincent. She was raised in Peabody and graduated from Peabody Veterans Memorial High School in 1979, and has been a lifelong resident of the city. For the past 2 years, Mary had been employed as a receptionist at the Ira Collision Center in Danvers. Prior to this she was employed for 28 years at Sears Service Center in Peabody. Above all, Mary was a loving mother who devoted her life to creating a home for her family, and who enjoyed supporting her children with their scholastic studies and sports activities. Camping may not have been Mary’s’ forte, but she still enjoyed traveling with Bill. In addition to her husband with whom she shared 28 years of marriage and her mother of Peabody, Mary is survived by her children, Amy M. Hallinan and her companion Jason Manni of Peabody, Sean M. Hallinan, and Erin J. Hallinan both of Peabody; a brother and his wife, Robert and Pauline Paciulan of Londonderry, NH; her father –in-law and mother-in-law, William M. and Mary J. Hallinan of Mulberry, FL; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Gale Hallinan, and Jeannie Hallinan all of Peabody, Arthur and Anne Jean of Katy, TX, and Anthony and Susan Mineo of Cumming, GA; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her wonderful and faithful canine companions, Reese and Chance. Mary was predeceased by her siblings Patricia Flanagan and Francis Paciulan. Mary’s family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 9 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 140 Lynn St., Peabody.
