Obituary of Charles W. "Chuckie" Mason, Jr.

Charles W. “Chuckie” “Charlie” Mason, Jr., 54, of Merrimac and formerly of Peabody, died on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Burlington Medical Center. Chuckie was born in Beverly, on January 20, 1959, son of the late Charles W. and Stacia A. (Andruskiewicz) Mason. After loosing his mother at age 3, Chuckie was raised by his sister Carol A. Cole and her husband Gary M. Cole in Peabody, graduated from the Peabody Vocational High School in 1978, and resided in the city before moving to Merrimac in 2012. Chuckie was employed for many years as a machinist at the family business Plus One Corporation in Peabody and at Micro Machine Company in Salem. In 2008 he along with 19 other family members went on a cruise to celebrate Gary & Carol’s 50th wedding anniversary. Having a special place in his heart for children, he loved to play Santa Claus at the family Christmas gathering, and also enjoyed fishing as a hobby. In addition to Carol & Gary of Peabody, Chuckie is survived by his siblings, Gary M. Cole, Jr., David Cole both of Peabody, Christine Raymond of Manchester, NH, and Troy Jester of FL; his fiancée, Jody A. Richardson of Amesbury, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by 2 siblings, Paul Dube and Leland Cole, Sr. A family committal of his ashes will be held in the spring. The family requested that memorial contributions be made in Chuckie’s name to Haven from Hunger, 71 Wallis St., Peabody, MA 01960.
