Obituary of Florence E. (Plunkett) Palmer

Florence E. (Plunkett) Palmer, 88, of Peabody, died Tuesday, December 17,2013 at the Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Paul Palmer. She was born in Boston, MA on May 23, 1925, the daughter of the late James and Florence (Ray) Plunkett and was raised in Everett and resided there before moving to Peabody 50 years ago. Florence had a flair for the arts and participated in many dance performances with her father in theatres, clubs and restaurants throughout New England. She later had been a cashier for the Loew’s Movie Theatre in Danvers prior to her Retirement. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and John McCarthy of Peabody, a son, Raymond Palmer of Peabody, a brother, Robert Plunkett of Everett, her grandchildren, Jason and his wife Katie Harding of Singapore, China, John Harding and his wife Christine , Stephanie Mc Carthy and Gina Palmer all of Peabody, six great grandchildren, Faith and Gwenyth Harding, Jacob and Benjamin Harding and Tatyanna Hernandez and Marcos Medrana and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Thomas Palmer, the grandmother of the late April Palmer and the sister of the late James R. Plunkett A Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2:00 until 5:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 9:00 AM from the funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Adelaide’s Church, 508 Lowell St., West Peabody at 10:00 AM Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
