Obituary of Alice M. (Champoux) Goudreau

Alice M. (Champoux) Goudreau, 64, of Peabody and formerly of Lynn, died peacefully Thursday morning with her family by her side following a brief illness. She was the former wife of Douglas Goudreau. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Francis Leo and Mary Helen Champoux. She was raised and educated in Lynn and has lived in Peabody for the past 33 years. Alice was employed as an Executive Administrator for Poly Com in Andover for over 15 years before she retired many years ago. Alice loved spending time outside doing work in her yard and gardening. She also was a dog lover, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and sharing in all of their endeavors. She is survived by her children, Christopher and his wife Kristen Goudreau and Lisa Goudreau, all of Peabody, she is also survived by four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and by her beloved Cocker Spaniel, Katie. She was predeceased by her sisters, Eleanor Carlson and Ann Guy. Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 2:00 until 5:00 PM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave, Salem, MA 01970.
