Obituary of Rosina Maria DiCroce
Rosina Maria DiCroce, 93, formerly of Peabody, died on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at the Putnam Farm Assisted Living in Danvers after a brief illness.
She was born in Peabody on July 15, 1920, the daughter of the late D. Antonio and Maria (Di Cristofaro) Di Croce and was raised and educated and resided most of her life in Peabody. She was a graduate of Peabody High School in 1937 and later graduated from Berdette College in Lynn.
Rosina had been a secretary in the Medical Library section of the SalemHospital for 25 years prior to her retirement in 1985.
She was an active member of St. John the Baptist Church in Peabody serving as a teacher in the CCD classes and was a member of the St. John’s ladies Sodality. She was an avid reader and enjoyed the theatre and the arts. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews
She is survived by her sister Edith Manzi of Beverly and several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews. She was the sister of the late Albert, James and Henry DiCroce, Susie Di Croce and Louise Del Gizzi.
A Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 until 10:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John the Baptist Church, 16 Church St., Peabody at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Donations in her memory may be made to Hospice of the NorthShore, 75 Sylvan St. Suite 102 B, Danvers, MA 01923.
