Obituary of Steve Moutsoulas

Steve Moutsoulas, 64, of Danvers, a well known Peabody businessman and owner of the S.L. Moutsoulas Painting Corp. of Peabody, died unexpectedly Wednesday evening at the Beverly Hospital. He was taken there after taking an ill turn while driving his car and pronounced at the emergency room. He was born in Kalamata, Greece the son of the late Leonides and Demetra (Demopoulas) Moutsoulas, he came to Peabody in 1947 and attended Peabody Schools Graduating from Peabody High School in 1957. He had resided in Danvers for the past Thirty years. He was the owner of S.L. Moutsoulas Painting Corp for the past 43 years. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Ferncroft Country Club of Danvers and was also a member of St. Val’ s Men’ s Club. He belonged to the Jordan Lodge of Masons A.F. & A.M. of Peabody. He enjoyed going to Foxwoods and reading poetry. He is survived by his wife of 43 years of marriage, Barbara (Stansfield) Moutsoulas of Danvers, a son and his companion, Leon Chuck Moutsoulas and Benjamin Joseph Peabody of Danvers, a daughter and her partner, Vicki Moutsoulas and David Lewis of Danvers; five brothers and 4 sisters-in-law, James and Linda Moutsoulas, John and Jeannette Moutsoulas, Charles and Valerie Moutsoulas, Arthur and Nina Moutsoulas and William Moutsoulas all of Peabody, a sister and brother-in-law, Alice and James Noble of Salem, 2 grandchildren, Tyler and Jessica Stubbs of Danvers and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Nicholas Moutsoulas. His Funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St.,, Peabody facility followed by services in St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Peabody at 10:00 a.m. Burial in Harmony Grove Cemetery, Salem.
