Obituary of Bernadette C. (Denis) Comeau

Bernadette C (Denis) Comeau, 95, of Peabody and formerly of Salem, died Wednesday morning at her daughter’s home knowing she was loved. She was the devoted wife of the late Arthur Comeau. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Eva (Clapin) Denis. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of Ste Chretienne Academy in Salem, class of 1938. She was very active in the community and was a member of the Golden Agers, Peter A.Torigian Community Life Center, and Peabody Council on Aging. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Priscilla Comeau and Robert and Lucille Comeau, a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and John Urbanski and also by 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two daughters, Janet M. Riley and Barbara Houle Nelson, her brother, Eusibe Paul Denis, and by her son-in-law, Donald Houle. The family would like to thank the staff from Care Dimensions, especially Kristen Ross, Lindsey Collens, and Laurie Gello for all of their compassionate care and tenderness. They are truly grateful. Her funeral service will be held on Saturday at 9:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 CHURCH ST., Peabody followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. John's Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
