Obituary of Theresa "Terry" Johnson

Theresa “Terry” Johnson, 84, of Danvers, died peacefully on Wednesday at the Ledgewood Nursing Home in Beverly. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Ann (LeBlanc) Richards. She was raised and educated in Lynn where she met her husband Alden “Wayne” Johnson. She began her hairdressing career at her home in Peabody while raising her three young children. She later worked at the Hilltop Steak House and the Hawthorne By The Sea. Before retiring, she was employed at General Electric in the Aircraft Engine division located in Lynn and Everett. She was an avid painter using both watercolor and oil paint and won several awards through the Danvers Art Association. She also treasured her beautiful garden at her home in Peabody. Terry is survived by her daughters Karen and her husband Arthur Germano of Lynnfield and Lee Johnson of Plaistow, NH, her son, Wayne Johnson and his husband David LaSalle of Provincetown, her beloved four grandchildren whom she cared for over 15 years, Matthew Germano of Lynnfield, and Kimberlee, Jake and Tyler Cameron of Plaistow, NH, her sister, Beatrice Small of Danvers, Julie Rowe of Nashua, NH, Joan Ferrante of Revere and her brother George Richards of Acton. She was predeceased by her brother, Louis Richards. Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A Memorial Service will be held immediately following at 7:00 PM to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Care Dimensions formerly Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan Street, Danvers, MA 01923.
