Obituary of Leo S Pineau

Leo S. Pineau, 82, of Peabody, died early Saturday morning at the Lahey Clinic North in Peabody after a brief illness. He was the husband of Barbara (Doucette) Page Pineau for the past 12 years and the husband of the late Virginia (Basilico) Pineau. He was born on May 9, 1920 and raised in Prince Edward Island, Canada, the son of the late John A. and Evangeline (Arseneau) Pineau. He later moved to Chelsea, MA in his youth where he resided for most of his life before moving to Peabody 15 years ago. He had been a truck driver for over 35 years with the Arrow Trucking Company prior to his retirement 17 years ago. He had been a member of the Teamsters Union local 25 of Charlestown. He was an avid bowler and belonged to the French Club and Merritt Club Bowling leagues, both of Chelsea. He enjoyed watching wrestling matches and taking day trips. Surviving him besides his wife are 5 daughters and two sons-in-law, Elizabeth and Stanley Benoit and Maryann and her Fiance, Joseph Louie, all of Brockton, Linda and Ron Taylor of Rockport, Sandra Merritt of Limestone, ME, Gail Page of Beverly; 4 sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert Page of Danvers, Phillip & Carolyn Page of Andover, Raymond Page of Lynn and Douglas Page of Rockport; 3 brothers, Wilfred Pineau of Dorchester, Anthony Pineau of Weymouth and Joseph Pineau of Derry, NH; 2 sisters, Anna Callahan of Fl., and Jean and her husband Anthony Rizzo of Chelsea, a sister-in-law, and her husband, Cynthia and Joseph Zagrobski of Salem, 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. His Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody
