Obituary of Jane P. (Ryan) Edwards

Jane P. (Ryan) Edwards PEABODY—Jane P. (Ryan) Edwards, 74, beloved wife of the late Robert “Snapper” Edwards, died Saturday morning January 18, 2014 at the Mass General Hospital in Boston after a brief illness. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late William and Eleanor (Flynn) Ryan. She grew up in Swampscott and Marblehead, and graduated from Swampscott High School. She lived in Peabody for 23 years before moving to Las Vegas, NV to enjoy here retirement about 10 years ago. Mrs. Edwards worked as a Letter Carrier with the United States Postal Service serving the City of Salem. She retired in 2000. Jane enjoyed music, especially Prince, Bob Seger among others. She loved cats, was very organized, and enjoyed doing things for her friends and family. She was the mother of Jack McKinnon and Eleanor & her husband Jeff Hebert all of Las Vegas, NV, Kevin & his wife Kelly McKinnon of Winthrop and Sean & his wife Laurie McKinnon of Revere; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; a sister Eleanor Cousins of ME, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, besides her parents and husband, by brothers Jack Ryan and James Ryan. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a visitation on Wednesday January 22, 2014 from 10:30 – 11:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, MA.
