Obituary of Jill Elizabeth Ditty

Jill E. Ditty, 26, of Fall River and formerly of Groveland and Lynn, mother of Aiden Lavin and daughter of David & Mary (Dumas) Ditty of Groveland, died Thursday January 16, 2014. Born in Salem, she grew up in Lynn and Groveland where she attended Triton and Pentucket Schools. She was currently a student in the Salter School in Fall River, studying to be a Medical Assistant. Jill was very athletic, as she enjoyed cheerleading and dance. She was also a creative woman, who had a gift for artistic expression with knitting and other craft items. She loved being a mother, and will be missed greatly by those who knew her. She is survived by a son, Aiden Lavin of Fall River; her parents, David and Mary (Dumas) Ditty of Groveland; her long time partner Alan Lavin, a brother David Ditty, a sister Andrea Ditty of Merrimac, MA; her paternal grandparents Robert and Maria (Bugl) Ditty of Peabody; her maternal grandparents Paul and Barbara (Quinlan) Dumas of Peabody; a nephew Colin Burns, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family and friends. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather at 9 AM on Wednesday January 22, 2014 from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Ann’s Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5 – 8 P.M. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Memorial donations may be made to the Aiden Lavin Memorial Fund, c/o TD Banknorth Groveland, MA.
