Obituary of Ida M Scarnici

Ida M Scarnici, 91, of Peabody and formerly of East Boston, died Sunday afternoon at the South Shore Hospital in South Weymouth following a brief illness. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Philip and Jennie (Pardo) Scarnici. She was raised and educated in East Boston and was a graduate of East Boston High School., class of 1941. Ida was employed as a legal secretary for the law offices of Charles P. Doyle in Needham for many years before she retired. She was a member of the former Chatterbox Club in Boston. She enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the United States and Europe and especially enjoyed Italy and Ireland. She is survived by her large extended family including several loving cousins who were like sisters to her and others who she was like a second mother to and many dear friends. Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Assumption Church, Lynnfield to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visitation will be held prior from 9:00 until 10:30 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Roslindale.
