Obituary of Dorothy F. (Kelly) Bamberg

Dorothy Frances (Kelly) Bamberg, of Peabody, died Saturday evening at the Beverly Hospital following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Charles Bamberg with whom she shared 53 years of marriage. Born in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. & Mary E. (Lavelle) Kelly. She was raised in Revere and had attended Revere Public Schools. She later moved to Peabody and has been living in Peabody for the past 30 years. She had worked for over 40 years as a Hairdresser for various shops on the North Shore before retiring about 10 years ago. She enjoyed traveling and had cherished the time she had spent with all of her nieces and nephews. Besides her husband of 53 years, she is survived by 3 brothers, Charles Kelly and his companion, Gloria Perry of Brockton, John Kelly of NH, and Thomas M. Kelly of Peabody; 4 sisters and 3 brothers-in-laws, Mary E. & Salvatore Bonasoro of Winthrop, Helen M. & Jerrold Rivitz , and Ann & Robert Croce, all of Peabody, and Margaret Perry of Oviedo, Fla., and Peabody, and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Colin, Harold C. & Joseph Kelly. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday @ 10:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility (978) 531-0398, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church @ 11:00 AM to which relatives and friend are invited to attend.
