Josephine “Jo” S. (Pietraszek) Danisiewicz PEABODY-- Josephine “Jo” S. (Pietraszek) Danisiewicz, 86, beloved wife of the late Clement “Clem” Danisiewicz, died peacefully on Friday February 14, 2014 at the Phillips Manor Nursing Home in Lynn, while in the comforting presence of her family. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Mary (Sobutka) Pietraszek. She lived in Peabody most of her life and lived in Lynn the last six years. Mrs. Danisiewicz worked with A.C. Lawrence Leather Company as she started her working life. Besides nurturing her family at home, she later worked at a plastics factory, then as a cook in the City of Peabody public schools at the West Memorial School. Josephine enjoyed any kind of social gathering. She was active with the Peabody Golden Agers, enjoyed knitting, and playing Bingo. She was involved in the Polish community and St. Joseph’s Church of Peabody, supporting many of their picnics and other activities. She was a member of the Daughters of St. Joseph’s and the St. Michael’s Society. Traveling was another joy of hers, from visiting national parks including visits to her son who is a Ranger, to cruises, and camping at Sebago Lake State Park. During her early retirement years, Jo and Clem owned a home in Port Richie, FL that they enjoyed as snowbirds each year. Jo’s family wishes to express their thanks to the whole staff at Phillips Manor Nursing Home for their wonderful care and comfort during her recent illness. She is survived by a son Michael & his wife Patty Danisiewicz of Port Angeles, WA; two daughters, Stephanie & her husband John Dusvitch of Revere and Maryann Dejoy & her partner Ron Maloof of Lynn; four grandchildren, Joseph Dusvitch, Christopher Dusvitch, Nicole Dusvitch and Ryan Danisiewicz; five great-grandchildren Briann Popp, Michael Popp, Courtney Dusvitch, Eva Dusvitch, and Jackson Dusvitch; one great-great-grandson Ryder Brennan; a sister, Ann Krawczyk of Peabody; a sister-in-law Josephine Dzierzak of Lynn; a brother & sister-in-law Stanley & Irene Danisiewicz of Lynnfield, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, besides her parents and husband, by brothers Michael and John Pietraszek; sisters Wanda and Stephanie Pietraszek, and Helen Rowen. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for her Funeral Service on Wednesday February 19, 2014 at 11 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 3 – 7 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
