Obituary of Jonathan G. "Jon" Wiseman
Jonathan G. “Jon” Wiseman, 31, of Newbury passed on Friday, March 14, 2014 with his family by his side following a courageous battle with cancer.
Jonathan was born in Winchester, on May 6, 1982, loving son of Brian M. and Susan M. (Welch) Wiseman of Newbury. He was raised in Saugus, attended St. Mary’s High School in Lynn and then transferred to Saugus High School for his senior year, graduating in 2000. He was a Massachusetts Licensed Master Barber for many years in Saugus and also helped with his family’s business. He later enrolled into Salem State University where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and was a co-founder of the Salem State Pre-Law Society. He was presently furthering his education in his first year at Suffolk University Law School in Boston - which was his ultimate dream that came true.
Jonathan was a loving, caring person who was extremely family and friend oriented. He always put others first. He had a magnetic personality. He enjoyed hockey, scuba diving, golfing, road trips and listening to country music. As much as he took pleasure with nature and all kinds of animals, Jon had a special place in his heart for frogs.
In addition to his parents of Newbury, Jonathan, the oldest, is survived by his three brothers:, Jason T. Wiseman (and his fiancée Jena Poluzzi), Joshua S. Wiseman and Jeremy L. Wiseman; his maternal grandmother Mary A. Welch and grandfather the late George V. Welch Sr. of Chelsea; his paternal grandparents the late Murray and Rita Wiseman of Revere; many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.
His family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 9 a.m. from the funeral home followed by his Mass of Christian Rite at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, 42 Green St., Newburyport.
