Obituary of Mary S. (Gaieski) Lane

Mary S. (Gaieski) Lane, 48 years, of Peabody, died unexpectedly Tuesday at the Lahey Clinic North in Peabody after being stricken at home. Mrs. Lane was born Feb. 22, 1954 in Oceanside, CA daughter of Helen M. (Duc) Gaieski and the late John K. Gaieski. She was raised and educated in Peabody graduating from Bishop Fenwick High School class of 1971. She then attended the former Bryant-Stratton College in Boston receiving an Associates Degree in Fashion Design. She worked with her family at the Warren Lunch on Warren St. in Peabody. She was a member of the Italian American Citizens Club in Peabody and enjoyed cooking. In addition to her mother she is survived by two daughters, Peabody Police Officer Stephanie C. Lane and Jennifer E. Lane both of Peabody; a son, Andrew M. Lane of Peabody; a brother, Lt. Col. John M. Gaieski, U.S. Marine Corps. (Ret.) and his wife Diana Gaieski of Shawnee Mission, Kansas; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Marcia H. and George Kanarakis of Sydney, Australia, Carol J. Gaieski of Peabody and Patricia A. Vega of Melrose; four aunts, 2 nieces, a nephew and several cousins. Her funeral will be held Friday at 8 a.m. from the Cahill-Brodeur facility at 20 Church St., Peabody (978-531-0472) of the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Ann Church, Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Thursday 4 - 8 p.m. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Memorial contributions may be made to the N.S.
