Obituary of Coleman C. Connelly Jr.

Coleman C. "Buddy" Connelly Jr., 69, of Peabody died early Monday morning at the Lahey Clinic North after a brief illness. He was born in Peabody on July 19, 1933, the son of the late Coleman E. and Flora J. (Smith) Connelly Sr. and had resided in Peabody and Salem most of his life He was employed at the Shaw's Supermarket Store in Salem for many years and later was a volunteer worker at the Salem Hospital. He had been a member of the Peabody Lodge of Elks, # 1409 of Peabody serving as a tyler and was also an usher at St. John's Church in Peabody for many years. He is survived by his cousins and their spouses, Anrthur N. and Barbara Doyle of Peabody, Dorothy E. Tully of Niceville, Fl, Vivian Hogan of Falls Church, Va., Eileen Mc Lean of Peabody and his companion of 10 years, Ann Cowan of Peabody. He was the brother of the late Ruth Connelly and the nephew of the late Caroline V. Doyle. His funeral will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 20 Church St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John's Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
