Obituary of Helen Nickitopoulos

Helen Nickitopoulos, 76, of Peabody died early Wednesday morning at the Salem Hospital after a short illness. She was born in Peabody on March 5, 1928, the daughter of the late George and Eugenia (Macropoulos) Nickitopoulos and was a lifelong resident of the city. She was a graduate of Peabody High School . She had been employed in the shoe industry first working at the Winston Shoe Company and later at Clayman’ s Shoe Factory in Salem for over 30 years prior to her retirement. She was an active parishioner of St. Vasilios Church and she enjoyed knitting, crocheting and also cooking and baking. She is survived by a sister, Mary Nickitopoulos of Peabody and many loving friends. She was the sister of the late Steven Nickitopoulos and the late Sophia Nickitopoulos. Her Funeral will be held on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill- Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility followed by Services in St. Vasilios Greek Church at 10:00 AM. Burial in Harmony Grove Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
