Obituary of Sarah E. "Lib" Espindle
Sarah E. Lib (Kane) Espindle, 86, of Peabody, died
Thursday evening at the Blueberry Hill Nursing Home, Beverly following a
Lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Leo J. Espindle.
She was born and raised in Quincy, the daughter of the late Martin and
Margaret T. (Kane) Kane and had resided in Peabody for the past 60 years.
She was employed with the City of Peabody school department, first with
the cafeteria system for 20 years and later as a Matron for 10 years prior to
her retirement in 1981.
She enjoyed bowling, walking and swimming and
being with her family.
She is survived by Three sons and two daughters-in-
Law; Leo J. and Elaine A. Espindle of Saugus, Ma., David and Diane
Espindle of Andover, and Frank Espindle of Peabody; 2 sisters, Marie Merritt and
Margaret Panarelli both of Situate, 12 grandchildren, a great grandchild and many
nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Madeline Mc Neice.
Her funeral will be held on Monday at 8:00 a.m. from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur funeral home
at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John’ s Church
Peabody at 9:00 a.m. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem. Visiting hours on Sunday
From 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Expressions of
Sympathy may be made to the Alzheimer’ s Assn. 36 Cameron Ave., Cambridge, Ma.
