Obituary of Frances B. (Bright) Berrett

Frances B. (Bright) Berrett ROCKPORT---Frances B. (Bright) Berrett, 93, died peacefully on Wednesday April 9, 2014 at the Beth Israel-Deaconess Hospital in Boston, following an extended illness. Born in Saugus, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Anna C. (Drewett) Bright. She grew up in Saugus where she attended schools and lived for 34 years. She later lived in West Springfield for over 30 years. She had a passion for the arts, so she enjoyed living in Rockport for many years and loved the Cape Ann area. Frances was a gifted artist. She worked in ceramics, oil paintings, pottery, and watercolors in her later years. She was a member of the North Shore Arts Association of Gloucester, where her passion led to teaching several classes at the museum. She was also active in the Arts Community of Rockport. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed by those who knew her. She is survived by two sons and two daughters, John C. Berrett of Cumberland, ME, Edward “Ted” Berrett, Jr. of West Bath, ME, Gale Flynn of Venice, FL and Anne Berrett of Concord, NH; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, William Bright of Portland, OR, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by a son Stephen L. Berrett, and siblings George Bright, Annie Hartley, and Dorothy Bright. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a visitation on Monday April 14, 2014 from 10 AM – 12 Noon in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. A Private Family Ceremony will be later with burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
