Obituary of Lena A. (Cornacchia) Corsetti

Lena A (Cornacchia) Corsetti, 86, of Lynn, died peacefully Tuesday evening surrounded by her family following a long illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Richard Corsetti with whom she shared over 60 years of marriage. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Carlo and Anita (Farinelli) Cornacchia. She was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School, class of 1945. She has lived in Lynn for most of her life. Lee was a pre-school teacher at Sunny Day in Lynn for over 15 years before she retired. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling with her husband for many years. Lee will be remembered most for her love and devotion to her husband Richie and her family and for her patience and kindness. She is survived by her two sons, Kenneth and his wife Joanne Corsetti of Lynn and Gary and his wife Ellen Corsetti of Magnolia, her daughter, Debra and her husband Timothy Fraser of Swampscott, her brother Carl Cornacchia Jr. and his wife Carol of Coco Beach, FL, her sister-in-law, Patricia Cornacchia of Lynn and was the loving grandmother of Jodie and her husband Mark Driscoll, Brian and his wife Sara Corsetti, Michael Corsetti, Tim Corsetti, Victoria Himaras, and Nicolette Fraser and is also survived by her great grandchildren, Brendan, Connor, Evan, and Cameron. She was predeceased by her son Ronald Corsetti and brother Albert Cornacchia. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 8:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody followed by a Funeral Service at 9:00 AM at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Grove St., Lynnfield to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lynnfield St., Lynn.
