Obituary of Lorraine M. (Laflin) Conlon
Lorraine M. (Laflin) Conlon, 82, of Peabody, formerly of East Boston, died Thursday at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief illness.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Warren D. and Mabel (LeBlanc) Laflin. She was raised and educated in East Boston and has lived in Peabody for the past 7 years.
She was employed as a telephone operator for over 22 years at TuftsNew EnglandMedicalCenter before retiring in 1999. She was and avid Bruins and Red Sox fan and enjoyed reading and crocheting, but her favorite activity was spending time with her children and later her grandchildren and sharing in all of their endeavors.
She is survived by her loving children, John E. Conlon and his wife Claire of Everett, David N. Conlon of Medford, Cheryl A and her husband Stephen Monaco of Peabody and Kevin C. Conlon of FL and Gayle Conlon of Weymouth, she was the loving grandmother of Sean and Brian Conlon, Ryan and Michelle Monaco, and, Tori, James, Kristen, and Kara Conlon, and loving great grandmother of Brian Conlon, Jr., and Christian and Nathan Tagliamonte.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. Burial services will be private.
