Obituary of Henry J. Kordalski

Henry J. Kordalski, 85, of Peabody, died Wednesday, May 7, 2003, at Salem Hospital following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Genevieve (Hubisz) Kordalski with whom he shared over 61 years of marriage. Born and raised in Salem, he was the son of the late John and Aniela (Golak) Kordalski. He attended Salem schools and was a graduate of Salem High School. He has spent the last 61 years living in Peabody. He was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He served as a Medical Technician in both Wars and was a recipient of the Asiatic Pacific and the American Theatre Campaign Ribbons, Victory Medal and the American Defense Service Medal. Prior to retiring, he worked in the Leather Industry as a Shaver for A.C Lawrence in Peabody. He also was a longtime member of the Danvers Polish American Club where he played Santa for over 25 years, the Danvers Fish and Game Club, and was a member of the VFW, Post 1011 in Peabody. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by 2 brothers, William Kordalski of Danvers and Stanley Kordalski of Auburn, Maine and by several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Chester, Edward, and Thadeus Kordalski and Genevieve Whalley, Florence and Irene Kordalski. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM Noontime on Wednesday, May 21, 2003, at the family lot in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
