Obituary of Leonard P. "Lenny" Robichau
Leonard P. “Lenny” Robichau, 73, of Peabody and formerly of Beverly, died Tuesday morning at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of Shirley (Henwood) Robichau with whom he shared over 54 years of marriage.
Born in Beverly, he was the son of the late Edward and Elva (Carlson) Robichau. He was raised and educated in Beverly and upon marrying his wife Shirley, he moved to Peabody where he has lived for the past 54 years.
Lenny served with the United States Marine Corps from 1959 until 1963 before he was honorably discharged. After his military service, Lenny was employed with several landscaping companies as a tree cutter, following that he was a school bus driver for the city of Peabody and finally, before he retired, he was employed with the Brushill Company in Randolph as bus driver taking passengers to Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut.
Lenny enjoyed fishing and listening to the CB, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchild and sharing in all of their endeavors.
Besides his loving wife, Lenny is survived by his son Allan and Joan Robichau of Peabody, his two daughters, Sharon and her husband Jim King of Sanford, ME, and Natalie and her husband Leo McDougal of Florida, his brother, Marc Robichau of NH and also by three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. There are no funeral services planned. Expressions of sympathy may be made in his name to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923.
