Obituary of Wilma Lou (Drope) Olsen

Wilma Lou (Drope) Olsen, 72, formerly of Hamilton, passed away after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 with her family by her side at the Kaplan House in Danvers. Wilma was born in Paragould, AR, on April 22, 1942, to the late Edgar and Oreatha Jane (Jackman) Drope. She was raised in Washington State and graduated from Clover Park High School. Wilma moved to Massachusetts in 1961 and settled in Hamilton where she lived for over 30 years. More recently she lived in the Salem and Danvers. Wilma worked as a bookkeeper for the Hamilton Wenham School Department and Security National Bank in Danvers. Prior to her retirement in 2007, Wilma worked as a customer service representative with Sears Wilma was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed interior decorating and sitting on her porch admiring the view of the lake. Wilma was passionate about music, dance and especially her pets. In her final days, an occasional visit from a family dog appeared to bring her peace. Wilma is survived by her children and their spouses, Lynne F. and Michael J. Rufo of Peabody, Lisa J. and Nathaniel McCormick of WA and Ward E. Cammett of Danvers; her grandchildren, Charissa Parker, Naomi, Lindsay and Ryan McCormick and Kyanne and Kyle Cammett, Tara and Kristy Rufo and Jennifer Mooney in addition to 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Tommy Clark, Margaret Kinney, Susan Perry all of WA, and Janice Lee of SC and her former husband Donald Cammett of NH. The family will have a private memorial service at a later time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Wilma’s name to The Kaplan House 75 Sylvan Street Suite: B102 Danvers, MA 01923. Arrangements are by the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody.
