Obituary of Tadeusz "Ted" J. Pacak

Tadeusz J. “ Ted” Pacak, of Peabody, died Saturday, May 24, 2014 three days short of his 92nd birthday at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody. He was the husband of the late Amelia “Millie” (Dunajski) Pacak. He was born in Lynn, MA on May 27, 1922 the son of the late Casimir and Yadwiga (Woboliewicz) Pacak and had resided in Peabody most of his life. Ted had been a letter carrier with the US Postal Service in Peabody for 30 years prior to his retirement. A veteran of WW 11, he had served overseas with the US Navy. Ted loved to fish in both fresh and salt water and had taken fishing excursions to Alaska to catch salmon. He also enjoyed boating on the North Shore and traveling around the country and the Islands. He had been a member of the Leo Council # 508 Knights of Columbus and played on the bowling league for many years. Ted had many interests including bird watching, woodworking, watching the Patriots and the Red Sox and playing Cribbage and Bridge. He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Roberta “Robi” and Michael Anderson of Andover, MA and Janet Pacak of Florida, his companion these past few years, Cecile Martin of Danvers, and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late John “Jack” Pacak and the brother of the late Robert Pacak and Regina Pacak. A Family Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill- Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. There are no visiting hours. Interment will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Haven from Hunger, 72 Wallis St., Peabody, MA01960 in his memory.
