June 9, 2014 - My deepest sorrow for the loss of a real quality guy, who radiated integrity. My connections go back to St Mary's High School, Lynn and later, the local newspaper scene (when I was a sports stringer for the former Lynn Sunday Post). I wish that I had been aware before this weekend, so I could have expressed my condolences in person. God bless! Russ Meade of Swampscott, MA

Tom and I played baseball together on the Pirates Little League team in Peabody. We would later meet up at PHS, and after that we have discussions about sports, especially fencing. Tom wrote many fine articles about Tanner City Fencers and Joe Pechinsky and my Mother would always send those articles to me so that I could stay in touch with Peabody. Tom's dedication to his writing and to publishing "The Citizen" was remarkable. Judy and I would always look forward to receiving the paper so that we could catch up with what was going on in Peabody. Tom's sister Nancy would always let us know which battle Tom was waging with Peabody politicians. Tom was a wonderful, kind and gentle person and we respected greatly his outstanding work with so many groups in Peabody. Our deepest sympathies to Tom's family.

Judy & Scott Bozek of Herndon, VA

It's so sad and disturbing when such a good guy and friend passes at a relatively
young age. I grew up with Tom through grammar and high schools, then we worked
together at the old Stop & Shop in Peabody while we went to college in Boston.
We had a lot of fun playing sports and raising hell. I hope Tom gets the recognition due him for all that he did for Peabody, Peabody athletics, and
Peabody politics. He was a great family man and lifelong friend who will be
sorely missed. So sorry, Patti.

I am so sorry to read of the passing of my classmate of 12 years. Way too soon. "Tommy" and I often sat one behind the other during our 8 years at South Memorial School. He was a perfect gentleman and a great friend even then. He always demonstrated kindness, respect and generosity, which seemed to spring from him quite naturally. I was moved by the tribute he wrote and published about our teacher there, Paul Kerkorian, who we also lost recently.

My deepest sympathy to his wife, kids and family. Tom was a true role model.

Patti and family, so sorry about Tom. My late husband John and I worked with Tom back in the old Peabody Times days and then at Beverly Times in the good old days. He could always make me laugh with all his stories, and he certainly knew Tanner City better than anybody. He will be missed.
Jean DePlacido
