Obituary of James E. Mahoney
James E. Mahoney, 68, of Valrico Fla., and formally of Peabody, died unexpectedly on Monday afternoon in Florida after being stricken at his home.
Born and raised in Peabody, he was the son of the late Joseph R. and Lucy M (Hahesy) Mahoney. He attended Peabody Schools and was a graduate of Peabody High School. He has been living in Valrico Fla., for the past 23 years.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, who served as an Aircraft Mechanic with the United States Air Force.
He is survived by 4 brothers and sisters-in-law,Honorable Judge (ret.) Frank & Ruth Mahoney of Freeport, IL., John and Jacqueline Mahoney of Peabody, Dr. Thomas and Eileen Mahoney Swampscott and David and Carol Mahoney of Tewksbury, Ma.; a sister, Pauline Mahoney of Danvers, and close friends Leo Bissinette and Sally Le Blanc of Valrico, Fl. with whom he resided and several nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. He was the brother of the late Roger Mahoney, Margaret Mahoney and Marcella Hosker.
His funeral will be held on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility. A Visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 9:00 until 10:45 A.M.
Prior to the Service. Burial will be in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem.
