Obituary of Peter Frank Hincman, Sr.
Peter F. Hincman, Sr. of Peabody died early Wednesday afternoon at Salem Hospital. He was the loving husband of Henrietta (Dlugokinski) Hincman with whom he married in St. Joseph’ s Polish Church in 1942.
Born in Salem on April 29, 1915, he was the son of the late Vincent and Maryanne (Pilarski) Hincman. He was raised and educated in Salem and a graduate of Salem High School. He has been living in Peabody for the past 58 years.
He was a veteran of World War II, served as a Staff Sergeant with the United States Army, 101st 26th Yankee Division, Company H. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star, a sharp shooter and fought in the European Theatre and Battle of the Bulge.
He retired from General Electric in Lynn after 42 years of service as a tool and dye machinist in 1980.
He was one of the founding members of the Crow II Club on Ft. Ave and later at Memorial Drive, Salem. He also was an active member at both the Knights of Columbus, Leo Council 508, and St. John’ s Church, both in Peabody.
Besides his loving wife of 64 years, he is survived by three sons, Peter and his wife Lori of Danvers, Philip and his wife Helen of Wakefield, and Paul and his wife Robin of Peabody, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Subsy, Teddy, Alec, Harry,and Joe Hincman and Sophia Lipson. He also was the father-in-law of the late Maryanne Hincman.
His funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in St. John’ s Church, Peabody to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Sunday from 4:30 until 8:30 PM. Burial in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem.
