Almost one year later, and he is still not forgotten. We still remember how he would always let us "Play the Piano" at the front of the room. We will never forget the good times. As senior year is slowly beginning to approach we now realize you wont be there to see us graduate. We miss you everyday! Heaven has some of the best angels up there!

Mr. LeFave, you were the greatest science teacher anyone could ask for. I learned so much from you, things that I will carry with me into college and throughout the rest of my life. I'll always remember your smile and your funny jokes about "bad tuna" or "__ from Chicago, or Detroit". You always knew how to brighten up someone's day. And I'll always remember you cheering me on and congratulating me every time you saw me because I was the only girl on the wrestling team. Rest In Peace Mr. LeFave I'll never forget you!!!

Gary was a friend, colleague, mentor and administrator to me. Of all these roles, the one I most cherish was that of friend. Working with him for 26 years at Matignon H.S., provided me with many wonderful memories such as taking rode trips to "This Old House" homes and daylily shopping. I would look forward to hearing each Monday the work done on the "cabin" in NH and seeing pictures of the progress made. Gary's role of teacher never ended, regardless of his title. He was inspirational, patient and caring. He will be missed. My deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to Judy and the boys and their families.

Mr.Lefave was a great teacher. I will never forget how he used to bring a smile on my face everyday I see him. He was a happy free going teacher and I just remember talking about how I wanted him senior year. It saddens me that they took such a good person away. Heaven has gained another angel. This is "very bad tuna" as what Mr.Lefave would have said. Northeast Metro Tech will always remember Mr.Lefave. Passing by his empty room is heartbreaking, however his energy still remains. He will be greatly missed by the students and faculty of Northeast Metro Tech.

So sad to hear of Mr. LeFave's passing;yet so grateful for the wonderful teacher he was to me and so many others. His homeroom "two-oh-sevone" perennially captured the Matignon magazine drive, his annual science club fishing trip breakfast / beach cookout with Capt Ted Brewer out of Rockport put him in his element and his teaching was even better! Anybody who took his lab can never forget "rocketing" the various anatomical parts "in a forward directionee!"...of course, on a piece of "Matignon stationery" (white paper towel). I will never forget you! Rest in peace. Ed Peduto, Matignon '82

Gary and I were hired as teachers at Matignon in 1972. We worked closely together for thirteen years. Gary succeeded me as Assistant Principal. He was a fabulous teacher and tireless worker. He had a passion for teaching and for his students. He had an incredible energy level and took on all tasks. A devoted family man, Gary spoke often of his wife and children. He was a model for other teachers and gave all he could to Matignon both as a teacher and Administrator. He will be fondly remembered for the tremendous impact he had on so many students. His family can be proud of his wonderful career. Rest in Peace Gary

I was saddened to hear of Mr LeFave's passing. He encouraged this science nerd to work hard and have fun doing it. My career was forever influenced by that support. I was blessed to work again with him in the '90s through the alumni association at Matignon when he was principal. He served as both a mentor and a friend. May he be lifted up into the loving arms of his God. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire LeFave family at this difficult time. "Trapezius...good name for someone..."

My deepest condolences to the LeFave family during this difficult time. Mr. LeFave was a wonderful man and a wonderful teacher. A teacher who can teach a student, like me, who has no interest in science, and can engage that student so much so that he or she still retains much of that knowledge 30+ years later and develops an interest in science, is the mark of an excellent teacher in my opinion. He was one of my favorite teachers in my four years at Matignon, and he will be missed by many. May God bless you, Mr. LeFave.

I was very lucky to work with Gary for the past ten years at Northeast. He was so devoted to his job as teacher and NHS advisor and most of all, he was very devoted to his students. I shared a lot of laughs with Gary through the years and he was someone at school who I would go to for insight and advice. My heart goes out to the a LeFave family, and my thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time. Rest in peace, Gary. You will be greatly missed by us all.
