Obituary of Anastasia "Stacy" (George) Karamas

Anastasia Stacy (George) Karamas, of Peabody, died Friday at her daughter’ s home in North Conway, N.H. after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Spiros Ace Karamas. She was born in Peabody on December 6, 1923, the daughter of the late John and Julia (Petrakis) George and was a lifelong resident of the city. She was first employed at the General Electric Co., Lynn for 12 years and later with Skyine Enterprises at Logan Airport, Boston for 10 years prior to her retirement. She had been a member of the Italian American Club of Peabody and St. Vasilios Church. She enjoyed caring and being with her family. She is survived by 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Louis C. Karamas and John N. and Debra Karamas all of Peabody, a daughter, Diane D. Karamas of No. Conway, N.H.; 2 sisters, Sophie George and Rose Titus both of Peabody; 2 grandchildren, Christopher Karamas of Peabody and Tara-Ann Martich of Seattle, Wa., 3 step-grandchildren, Melissa, Michael and Jeremy Croteau all of Peabody and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Demetra Pappas, Mary Baker and Nicholas George. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home 20 Church St., Peabody facility. Relatives and Friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody.
