Obituary of Voula "Peggy" Decoulos

Voula “Peggy” Decoulos PEABODY—Voula “Peggy” Decoulos, 84, died peacefully Sunday at the Atrium at Danvers following an extended illness. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Stella (Salpas) Decoulos. She graduated from Peabody High School, and was a lifelong resident of the city. Ms. Decoulos worked as an Executive Secretary with General Electric in Lynn for a 50 year career before retiring in 1998. Peggy was a member and active with St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church in Peabody, and was a member of the Daughters of Penelope. She is survived by a niece and nephew, Nicholas Decoulos & his wife Ellen Callahan of Peabody and Stephanie Black & her husband Richard Black of Acworth, GA; four grandnieces & grandnephews, John & Kelly Decoulos of Peabody, Jenna & Justin Bullis of GA, Nicole & Michael Dibiase of Peabody and Frank DeMauro of GA, and four great-grandnieces & great-grandnephews, and a sister-in-law Catherince Decoulos of Peabody. She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by brothers John and Cristy Decoulos. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Wednesday June 25, 2014 at 9 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funearl Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Service at 10 AM in St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Peabody. A visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5:30 – 7 :30 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
