Obituary of Carolina Andrade Garcia

Carolina Andrade Garcia, 84, of Salem, died early Thursday morning at the Peabody Glenn Health Care Center after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Manuel Garcia who died three years ago. She was born in Pico Island of the Azores, Portugal on February 20, 1921, the daughter of the late Antonio J. and Maria (Amelia) Andrade and had resided there before moving to Peabody 25 years ago. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Peabody. She went back and forth to her home island For many years and enjoyed being with her family. She is survived by three sons and Daughters-in-law, Alfredino and Manuela Garcia of Watsonville, CA, Carlos and Sherry Garcia of Toronto, Canada and Jose and Maria Garcia of Salem, 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Alda Terra of Salem and Fatima and Carlos Oliveira of Orlando, Fl., a surviving sister, Amelia Andrade of Toronto, Canada, 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 6- 8 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St., Peabody facility. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 9:00 a.m. from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Peabody at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in St. Mary’ s Cemetery, Salem. F
