Obituary of Curtis C. Sartell
Curtis C. Sartell, 62, of Ft. Myers, FL and Beverly, loving husband of Eileen M. (Mullen) Sartell, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2014 after being stricken at his summer residence in Saco, ME.
Curtis was born in St. Cloud, MN, on April 6, 1952, son of the late Robert O. and June Eileen (Curtis) Sartell. He was raised in Tulsa, OK and graduated in 1970 from Nathan Hale High School. Curtis was known as “Sizzling Sartell”, and was an all State OK basketball player who was recruited by the University of Houston. He received his Degree in Business Finance and resided in Houston before moving to Hamilton, MA in 1986 where he made his home prior to relocating to Ft. Myers, FL. in 2005.
Curtis was employed in the banking industry for 32 years as an Operation Vice President, and within the past 7 years as a Bank Consultant in TX and CA. Curtis was a loving father who dedicated his life to creating a home for his family, supporting them in their endeavors and who enjoyed spending some precious time with his 2 grandsons. Curtis and his family enjoyed summering in ME, traveling and as a hobby Curtis was an avid golfer.
In addition to his wife Eileen whom he shared 30 years of marriage, Curtis his survived by his children, Christopher C. Sartell and his wife Dawn of Houston, TX, Ashley J. Sartell, and Nicholas J. Sartell and his girlfriend Isabella Andersson all of Beverly; 2 cherished grandsons, A.J. Sartell and Tysen Sartell of Houston; a brother, Kevin K. Sartell and his wife Brenda of Tulsa, OK; 6 brothers-in-law and 6 sisters-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends, and his dedicated girlie dog Milly. His sister Sandra J. Sartell predeceased him in 2013.
Curtis’ family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, with the Rev. Ron Huth officiating at his Celebration of Life Service scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The family requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Curtis’ name to the Northeast Animal Shelter, www.northeastanimalshelter.org , 347 Highland Ave., Salem, MA 01970.
