Obituary of Anna C. (Pietraszek) Krawczyk
Anna C. Krawczyk, 88, of Peabody, wife of the late Walter J. Krawczyk, died on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 with her family by her side at Hathorne Hill Genesis Healthcare in Danvers.
Mrs. Krawczyk was born in Peabody, on July 24, 1925, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Sobutka) Pietraszek. She was raised and educated in Peabody where she resided for most of her life before moving to Danvers in 2008.
She was employed for many years as an assembler at Hottwat in Danvers until 1989. Anna was a devoted wife, and a loving mother who dedicated her life caring for her children and who was so proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was happiest when surrounded by family and enjoyed vacationing at Sebago Lake in Maine. Anna was a member of the PLAV Auxiliary, and was very active with the Ladies Guild and Holy Rosary Society at St. Joseph’s Church before it’s closing. For many years she cooked golumkies for the Church Festival and for the Polish booth at the Peabody International Festival. She also attended functions at the Golden Agers, the Peabody Council on Aging and as hobbies loved to travel and play bingo.
Anna is survived by her children, Karen Tatro and her husband Warren of Peabody, and Richard Krawczyk and his companion Nancy Bourque of Hampstead, NH; her grandchildren, Kimberly, Katie, Daniel, Kelly and Kendra; her great grandchildren, Jacob, Emma, Nicole, Isabella and Liam, and many nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased by her son Walter J. Krawczyk, Jr., a grandson Michael and her siblings Wanda, Michael, Stephanie, Helen, John, and Josephine who died in February.
Her family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, July 13, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody. Her Celebration of Life service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 14th at 11:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Anna’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org/MANH , 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
