Mary (Pappadopoulos) Mallas
PEABODY—Mary (Pappadopoulos) Mallas, 84, beloved wife of the late William Mallas, died peacefully at her home on Friday July 4, 2014 at her home following a brief illness.
Born in Cambridge, she was the daughter of the late Theoffanes and Catherine (Demetropolou) Pappadopoulos. She grew up in Cambridge where she attended schools. She lived in Peabody for 62 years.
Mary enjoyed living her life quietly, and nurturing her family, as well as gatherings with family and friends.
She is survived by four sons, Thomas Mallas & his wife Laurie of Swampscott, Alan Mallas & his fiancée Cheryl Ampuja, Theodore Mallas and Steven Mallas all of Peabody; a daughter Kathryn Mallas of Pittsburgh, PA; two grandchildren Marissa Kathryn Mallas & her fiancée Greg Zolotas of Danvers and William T. Mallas of Swampscott; a sister Carole Speliotis of Danvers, and several nieces and nephews.
A Family Funeral Service was held in St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, Peabody with burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. Memorial donations may be to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
