Obituary of Constance Foley Black

Constance (Cummings) (Foley) Black, 77, of Peabody, died peacefully Thursday at the Spaulding Hospital at North Shore in Salem after a long illness with her family by her side. She was the loving wife of Bernard Black. She was born in Melrose on October 11, 1936, the daughter of the late William J. and Florence R. (Cullinane) Cummings and was raised in Winthrop graduating from Winthrop High in 1954. She had been a Real Estate Broker for 30 years working with Century 21 RE in Peabody and Topsfield and later with Caldwell- Banker in Danvers prior to her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Adelaide’s Church. She is survived by her husband, Bernard Black of Peabody, her five children and their spouses, Kathleen and Dean Ginoulis of Danvers, Deborah and Dave Watson of Bedford, NH, Janet and James Mac Neill of Beverly, Walter and Barbara Foley of Walpole, Daniel and Rachael Foley of North Springfield, Vt., her 10 cherished grandchildren, Evan, Cassandra, Erica, Patrick, Kelly, Sara, Sean, Lucas, Hannah and Silas and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late William J. Cummings Jr. A Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 until 7:00 PM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Adelaide’s Church, Lowell St., Peabody at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the S.M.A. Fathers, 23 Bliss Ave., Tenafly, N.J.07670 in her memory.
