Obituary of Daniel L. Julian

Daniel L. Julian, 77, of Peabody, died early Monday afternoon at Salem Hospital following a long illness. He was the loving husband of the late Carole (Forrestal) Julian. Born in Everett, he was the son of late William and Mary (Dempsey) Julian. He was raised and educated in Everett. He has been living in Peabody for the past 36 years. He served his country for over 23 years with the United States Army. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam Wars, served in Germany and then in the United States, before retiring in 1970. After his retirement from the Army, he worked an additional 18 years for the United States Post Office at Logan Airport in East Boston. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching the Patriots and Red Sox. He also enjoyed swimming, golfing and biking while he wintered in North Fort Myers, Florida. He is survived by two sons, William and Daniel Julian, both of Peabody, three daughters and two sons-in-law, Carole and John Kennedy of Camarillo, Ca, Susan Julian and Virginia and Jeffrey Brown, all of Peabody, three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Vincent Julian of Everett, George and Joan Julian of Saugus, and Kenneth Julian of Key West, FLA., a sister and three brothers-in-law, Elaine and James Maffa of Medford and Frank Skip O’ Neil of Braintree, and Mitch Kulikoski of Saugus. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Victoria and Julia Brown and Courtney and Sean Kennedy as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late John and William Julian, Anne O’ Neil, and Dorothy Kulikoski. His funeral service will be held on Friday at 9:00 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 12 Chestnut St., Peabody Facility, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Ann’ s Church, Peabody, to which relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visitation on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Burial in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park. Peabody.
