Obituary of Ruth A. (Fox) Ring

Ruth A. (Fox) Ring PEABODY—Ruth A. (Fox) Ring, 97, beloved wife of the late John Ring, died peacefully on Friday July 18, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Dedham following an extended illness. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Cullinane) Fox. She grew up in Peabody, where she attended schools and was a graduate of Peabody High School, and was a lifelong resident of the city. Mrs. Ring was a Secretary with G.T.E. Sylvania in Danvers for many years before retiring nearly 30 years ago. Ruth loved going to a Bingo night, and was a lifelong parishioner of St. John the Baptist Church in Peabody. She delighted many family and friends with her Goulash dish at gatherings. She is survived by three generations of nieces and nephews, including: a nephew John Fox & his wife Louise of Westwood and niece Mary Johnson & her husband Bill of Redding, CA; seven grand-nieces & nephews, Carolyn Fox of Westwood, Christopher Fox of Manhattan Beach, CA, Jonathan Fox of Chaing Mai, Thailand, and her Godchild Jennifer Fox of Westwood, Bridgid and Megan Johnson of CA and Ted Johnson of North Carolina, and also 11 great-grandnieces & nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Saturday July 26, 2014 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 20 Church St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in St. John the Baptist Church, Peabody.
