Obituary of Robert "Bob" Weinburgh

Robert C. “Bob” Weinburgh, 84, a lifelong resident of Peabody died Monday August 4 at Lahey North in Peabody with his family by his side. He was the husband of Nancy (Larrabee) Weinburgh with whom he shared 63 years of marriage. Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late John and Marie (Sylvester) Weinburgh. Bob was educated in Peabody and prior to his retirement he worked at G.E. of Lynn. He was a life time member of the Peabody Elks Lodge. Bob loved working outside in his flower gardens and listening to music. In his younger years he was on many different bowling leagues and loved to watch football, especially the New England Patriots. He also enjoyed decorating for all the holidays. Besides his loving wife, he leaves two daughters and their spouses, Carol L’Abbe and her husband Patric of Peabody, Donna Walsh and her husband Tom of Epping, NH, his four grandchildren, Dawn-Marie (L’Abbe) St. Pierre and her husband Larry of Peabody, Julie (L’Abbe) Coraggio and her husband Roger of New Rochelle, NY, Tricia L’Abbe of Peabody and T.J. Walsh and his wife Alicyn of Northborough, three great grandchildren, Scott Bailey, Lilly and Robert Coraggio and another on the way as well and many nieces, nephews. He is also survived by his siblings, William Weinburgh and his wife Jerry of Price Edward Island, Canada. He was predeceased by his siblings John, David, Raymond Weinburgh, Joanne Tupper and Carol Turner. Bob’s Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to St. Jude Research Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
