James F. Antoszewski
PEABODY—James F. Antoszewski, 66, beloved husband of Ethel (Goodwin) Antoszewski, died peacefully on Tuesday morning at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Peabody, he was the son of the late John F. and Elizabeth “Libby” (Foster) Antoszewski. He was a lifelong resident of Peabody. He attended Essex Agricultural School before graduating from Peabody High School.
Mr. Antoszewski worked as a Florist before working at Jasco Aluminum Doors & Window manufacturing of Peabody before retiring as Letter Carrier with the US Postal Service in Salem. He later worked as a driver with Greater Lynn Senior Services (GLYSS) before his illness.
Jim enjoyed collecting stamps, baseball cards, and coins. He was gifted doing crochet and won awards at the Topsfield Fair, and enjoyed older Country & Western music.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel (Goodwin) Antoszewski of Peabody, with whom he shared 40 years of marriage; a daughter Karen & her husband Joe Grande of Derry, NH; two sons, Mark Winchester of Beverly and Scott Winchester of Portsmouth, NH; seven grandchildren, Kyle Winchester of Beverly, Krista, Angela, Joseph & Nicolas Grande all of Derry, NH, Teriana Winchester of Salem and Caiden Winchester of NH; two sisters Betty & her husband Bill Dineen of FL and Kay Antoszewski of Peabody; a brother Dan & Liz Antoszewski of Billerica, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son Tom Winchester, and brothers Lenny and Bobby Antoszewski.
A private Family Farewell Ceremony with cremation was held, and a Memorial Ceremony is planned for the Summer.
