Obituary of Marguerite R. (Aubrey) Tardiff

Marguerite R. (Aubrey) Tardiff, 83 years, of Peabody, wife of the late Louis Tardiff, died Saturday at the Rosewood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Peabody. Mrs. Tardiff was born May 21, 1918 in Lowell daughter of the late Henry and Claire (Desroches) Aubrey. She was raised and educated is Salem graduating from Salem High School class of 1936. She moved to Peabody in 1948. She was employed as a manager at the International Sterling Silver Co. She then owned and operated the Cinderella Kindergarten on Bartholomew St. in Peabody for 8 years. She also taught leaded glass at the local high schools and taught astrology and arts and crafts at the Peabody Community Life Center. She was past President of the Peabody Garden Club. She is survived by a son and his wife, Paul and Christine Tardiff of Sebring, FL; a daughter and her husband, Patricia Cindy and Roger Jaycox of Peabody; a daughter-in-law Donna Tardiff of Ocean Ridge, FL; a sister, Cecile Barber of Peabody; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Henry Tardiff and sister of the late Leo Aubrey and Irene Steeves. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 12 Chestnut St. facility (978-531-0398) Peabody. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Tuesday 7 to 9 p.m. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem.
