Obituary of Nercida Acevedo

Nercida Acevedo LYNN Nercida Acevedo, 46, beloved wife of Alvin Carmona of Lynn, died suddenly and unexpectedly in the Dominican Republic while on vacation to attend her sister’s wedding. Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of Nelson Acevedo of Boston and Gladys (Rivas) Acevedo of Lynn. She lived in the Dominican Republic and came to the United States at the age of 12, settling in Boston. She lived in Lynn for many years. Ms. Acevedo worked as a Home Health Aide with Associated Home Health Care of Beverly. She is survived by her husband Alvin Carmona of Lynn; her parents, Nelson Acevedo of Boston and Gladys Acevedo of Lynn; two daughters, Sasha Tavarez and Thalia Tavarez both of Boston; two sons Jose Iraola of Salem and Handy Iraola of Peabody; seven grandchildren, Sincere, Jennessey, Dayaliz, Joseliz, Devine, Luis Jr., and Onyx; three brothers, Eduardo, Samuel and Jonathan; four sisters, Maria, Lissett, Milagro, Rachel, and Jennifer, and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather on Friday August 22, 2014 at 10 AM from the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, Lynn. A visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 – 8 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
